Wednesday 4th  of November

After FIGIEFA's welcome, sessions will begin with a keynote assessment, “The Commission’s policies to strengthen the competitiveness of the European industry in the new global context,by Valère Moutarlier, Deputy Director-General, DG GROW, European Commission.

After that, Roland Berger will present a new flagship study on the key levers of value creation in the European automotive aftermarket and the structural shifts shaping its future toward 2035. Conducted against a backdrop of geopolitical uncertainty, industrial policy realignment, and renewed focus on Europe’s strategic autonomy, the study places the aftermarket’s evolution firmly within today’s economic and political context.

The study will examine how electrification, software-defined vehicles, and access to vehicle data and software are reshaping the aftermarket value chain. It will assess the risks and disruptions these trends may bring, while also identifying concrete opportunities for innovation, efficiency gains, and new service models across the ecosystem.

Importantly, the study will highlight where independent distributors and other aftermarket players can take proactive action to strengthen their competitiveness, resilience, and contribution to European value creation. It will demonstrate how the independent aftermarket, building on its scale, expertise, and proximity to customers, is well-positioned to play a central role in ensuring a dynamic, competitive, and sustainable automotive aftermarket in Europe through 2030 and beyond.

Here you can read their latest study in collaboration with FIGIEFA.

Later on, participants will enjoy a high-level panel discussion on "The Next Generation Aftermarket: Where Will Value Be Created?", bringing together leaders from across the aftermarket and mobility sectors.

The Conference will also feature expert insights on the future of EU competition law and its impact on the automotive aftermarket, as well as on the key trends regarding Sustainability and Circularity for our sector, by FAAS' Manager Stijn Vervoort.

Based on the success of the 2024 edition, the event offers a unique opportunity to meet and exchange views with:

  • Leading automotive aftermarket distributors from across Europe and senior executives from across the entire aftermarket value chain
  • National & European trade associations and representatives from EU institutions and decision-makers

Whether you are looking to strengthen existing relationships, identify new business opportunities or gain a better understanding of the policy environment shaping our sector, the FIGIEFA Conference provides the ideal platform to connect with the people driving the future of the aftermarket.
