The conference programme is currently under construction. We can, nevertheless, already announce that Roland Berger will present a new flagship study on the key levers of value creation in the European automotive aftermarket and the structural shifts shaping its future toward 2035. Conducted against a backdrop of geopolitical uncertainty, industrial policy realignment, and renewed focus on Europe’s strategic autonomy, the study places the aftermarket’s evolution firmly within today’s economic and political context.
The study will examine how electrification, software-defined vehicles, and access to vehicle data and software are reshaping the aftermarket value chain. It will assess the risks and disruptions these trends may bring, while also identifying concrete opportunities for innovation, efficiency gains, and new service models across the ecosystem.
Importantly, the study will highlight where independent distributors and other aftermarket players can take proactive action to strengthen their competitiveness, resilience, and contribution to European value creation. It will demonstrate how the independent aftermarket, building on its scale, expertise, and proximity to customers, is well-positioned to play a central role in ensuring a dynamic, competitive, and sustainable automotive aftermarket in Europe through 2030 and beyond.
